Welcome to the
Hats off to a wonderful rodeo season at the High Country Stampede Rodeo! The past 7 week series ran from July 5 through August 16, 2014. We had over 5000 guests join us for the 7 Saturday night performances in the series. Alongside of the rodeo performances, we got to celebrate a Family fun night, Cancer Awareness night for our community in which we helped raise $500 donated to the Kevin’s Outreach for Local Emergencies (K.O.L.E) organization, and we honored our military by recognizing our combat wounded warriors. We had an amazing turn-out from both guests and competitors. The Winter Park Horseman’s Association Board of Directors would like to thank the community and our sponsors for their ongoing support in this great venture, the competitors for their participation and sportsmanship, our stock contractor, bull fighters, rodeo clowns and announcers, and we would especially like to thank all of the volunteers for their time and commitment to making this rodeo season such a great success! We could not have done it without all of the support we received.
This season ended with some superior performances in both the junior and adult rodeos. We were very proud to see our cowgirls and cowboys compete in the events and support each other as true competitors do. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this past performance such a great success!
The 2015 High Country Stampede Rodeo series will be our 32nd season. We are already gearing up to put on another incredible season of events!
Our motto here at the rodeo is “The High Country Stampede Rodeo, where everyone has fun!” Attendance last year was a record breaker. We had locals, front rangers, out of state visitors, foreign visitors, first time rodeo fans, and some fun family reunions, all who came out to cheer on Mutton Busters, Calf Scramblers, and over 2000 contestants. With beautiful Colorado sunsets and warm summer nights, we hosted over 8000 spectators.
I would like to invite anyone interested to become a member of the Winter Park Horseman’s Association and join us in this fabulous production. All it takes is $5.00 a year to be a Member in Good Standing and have voting rights and helps to make decisions. Our members also have access to use the arena, as well as they receive discounts on various products and services. Please call 970-449-9040 for more information on becoming a member of WPHA. Contestants do not need to be a member of the association to participate in the rodeos.
I invite you to come out and enjoy some family fun and clean mountain air while cheering for some fabulous rodeo contestants, both in our Junior Rodeo Series (growing every year to be one of the largest in our State) and our Adult Rodeo Series.
