Welcome to the
We hope you will join us for a very exciting 2016 rodeo season at the High Country Stampede Rodeo! Our rodeo season runs every Saturday night beginning July 2nd through August 13th, 2016. We are excited to have Bare Bones BBQ serving at the Chuck Wagon Grill this year. We are looking forward to many special events including Family Fun Night, Cancer Awareness Night, Sponsor Appreciation Night including a Country Western Dance with The J. D. Nash Band, Old West Night, and Military Recognition Night. The Winter Park Horseman’s Association Board of Directors would like to thank the community and our sponsors for their ongoing support in this great venture, the competitors for their participation and sportsmanship, our stock contractor, bull fighters, rodeo clowns and announcers, and we would especially like to thank all of the volunteers for their time and commitment to making this rodeo season such a great success! We could not do it without all of the support we receive.
The 2016 High Country Stampede Rodeo series will be our 33rd season. We are already gearing up to put on another incredible season of events!
Our motto here at the rodeo is “The High Country Stampede Rodeo, where everyone has fun!” Attendance last year was a record breaker. We had locals, folks from the front range, out of state visitors, foreign visitors, first time rodeo fans, and some fun family reunions, all who came out to cheer on Mutton Busters, Calf Scramblers, and many great contestants. With beautiful Colorado sunsets and warm summer nights, we hosted over 7000 guests.
I would like to invite anyone interested to become a member of the Winter Park Horseman’s Association and join us in this fabulous production. All it takes is $5.00 a year to be a Member in Good Standing and have voting rights and help to make decisions. Our members also have access to use the arena, as well as they receive discounts on various products and services. Please call 970-449-9040 for more information on becoming a member of WPHA. Contestants do not need to be a member of the association to participate in the rodeos.
I invite you to come out and enjoy some family fun, great BBQ, and clean mountain air while cheering for some fabulous rodeo contestants, both in our Junior Rodeo Series (growing every year to be one of the largest in our State) and our Adult Rodeo Series.
